Darryl Ferra’s journey into the world of safety began in construction, where he worked as a project manager. Early in his career, he felt a strong calling to shift gears and pursue a more hands-on role in safety by becoming an EMT, serving both on an ambulance and at a Ford vehicle testing facility. It was during these experiences that Darryl developed a deep commitment to personal and community safety—a value that has guided both his personal and professional decisions ever since.

Having witnessed firsthand the profound impact that accidents and lack of safety can have on individuals and families, Darryl's passion for safety grew into something more than just a career—it became his mission. This led him to expand his expertise by becoming a Lab Tech in higher education, where he quickly rose to the role of Lab Manager over Physical Sciences. There, Darryl was able to develop and implement critical safety training, programs, and protocols to protect students, staff, and faculty.

Driven by an unwavering desire to make a broader impact, Darryl joined a college to form the first Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) department in the district. It was here that his mission for safety expanded beyond his immediate environment, pushing him to help individuals in every walk of life navigate the complexities of workplace safety.

Inspired by this ever-growing passion, Darryl founded Strategic Safety Consulting with a clear goal: to provide top-notch safety education and services that make a real difference that doesn’t end with meeting compliance. His approach is grounded in experience, empathy, and an unrelenting dedication to ensuring that every person, from employees to communities, remains safe and protected.
